Those of us who are old enough to remember the days of supersonic air travel on Concorde will no doubt always have an affinity to this beautiful aircraft.
Seating up to a maximum of 128 passengers, Concorde was first commissioned in 1976, and a total of 20 were made globally until it will decommissioned in 2003. It could maintain a super-cruise speed of up to 1,347 mph at an altitude of 60,000ft. Its fastest transatlantic crossing was on 7 February 1996 when it completed the New York to London flight in 2 hours 52 minutes and 59 seconds.
Most of the aircraft are now on display in Europe and America. It’s always a delight, therefore, to supply furniture and equipment to celebratory events around this iconic aircraft.
