HGV Class 2 Driver – Walsall Sales & Distribution Centre                                                                                                                       

Role:  Delivery Driver Skills and Qualifications: Driver's License, Courteous, Previous Driving Experience, Good Customer Service Skills, Good Communication Skills, No Driving Disqualifications With the Last Three Years, Problem-Solver, Patient, Pleasant, Enthusiastic, Attention to Detail, Ability to Handle Fragile Packages and Parcels With Care, Ability to Work Under Pressure, Ability to Work in a Team, Ability to Drive Long Distances and Sit for Long Periods of Time, Be Physically Fit, Able to Meet timelines

Hours of work are based around the required delivery schedule. As a driver, this will differ depending on the run from Monday - Friday.  Some overtime will be required during busy periods.

Responsibilities include:

Operations

  • Daily deliveries
  • Driving for long periods of time in and around West Midlands and nationally on some occasions. An average of 5/10 drops a day.
  • Lifting and carrying event equipment. Some items can be heavy on certain occasions. Good manual handling is required.
  • Counting and checking orders on collection.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy at all times.
  • Communicating with customers by phone and updating them of delivery times.

Experience

  • 5 years driving experience, preferably 25yrs of age or older.
  • Would be a bonus if you’ve worked in the event hire industry before and have a basic understanding of the industry.
  • Good communications skills.

  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by your HOD.

Catering Equipment Hire Workshop Fitter – Walsall Sales & Distribution Centre                  

This role will see you working with a large team, delivering on the maintenance, service and repair of our hire equipment. Our Walsall workshop delivers maintenance and repair on equipment for all of our branches, you will be predominantly working in our Walsall workshop. Our range of equipment is varied and includes fridges, food warmers, gas appliances, microwaves, urns and other electrical catering equipment.

Role:  Would suit applicants with a good general mechanical skill set offering experience in the service and repair of catering equipment. This is a great role for inquisitive applicants that have a keen interest in mechanics and a workshop environment.

Responsibilities include:

Operations

  • To diagnose faults and repair/ maintain a variety of small catering equipment includes fridges, food warmers, gas appliances, microwaves, urns and other electrical catering equipment.
  • Update equipment service records once checked and tagged.
  • Pull and pack orders accordingly to required orders.
  • Ordering parts and spares for the various equipment pieces.
  • When required, ensure transport and delivery schedules are maintained to provide optimum customer service
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of current Event Hire, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Would be a bonus if you’ve worked in the event hire industry before and have a basic understanding on the stock you’ll be cleaning, servicing and or fixing.
  • Good in admin and fluent with their communications between various departments. 
  • Identifying issues and providing feedback to the team leader, and being able to think on your feet and to rectify issues if they do arise.
