Product Description

Add luxury and function with our barrier post hire

If you’re aiming to create an upscale, organised atmosphere at your event, our barrier post hire is the perfect solution. These polished posts are not just stylish—they’re also a highly effective way to manage queues and guide guests smoothly throughout your venue. With different colour options available, you can tailor your barrier post and rope setup to suit any event theme or brand identity.

Whether you’re running a red-carpet awards evening, a fashion launch or a high-profile exhibition, rope and post systems bring that all-important VIP feel. And thanks to our wide stock availability, you can hire barrier posts in large quantities with confidence.

Stylish event navigation with a purpose

Barrier post hire is about more than just good looks—it’s also about functionality. At 1 metre tall, these barrier posts stand out without dominating the space, offering guests clear guidance while complementing your overall decor. Combined with our ropes—available to hire separately in various colour options—they create the ideal post and rope system for queue control, entry guidance, or roped-off VIP zones.

The chrome and gold finishes bring a professional, polished aesthetic, and we ensure your ropes have matching chrome or gold ends depending on your choice of post. It’s the small touches like this that elevate an event from ordinary to exceptional.

Why hiring barrier posts makes more sense

Temporary barrier post hire offers huge advantages over buying. Not only do you avoid the high upfront cost, but you also get to access premium quality posts that are cleaned, maintained and delivered by professionals. Short term hire is ideal for everything from retail events and theatre openings to corporate launches and seasonal parties.

There’s no need for storage, no stress around transportation, and no risk of wear and tear over time—just high-end, ready-to-go equipment when you need it. Event professionals choose to rent barrier posts locally to streamline operations and reduce event build times, all without compromising on presentation.

Create impactful layouts with rope and post combinations

You can use barrier post hire creatively to guide attendees towards entrances, create elegant photo backdrops, or separate different areas of your venue. They’re widely used in theatres, galleries, VIP lounges, pop-up shops and museums. Thanks to their freestanding design, they’re quick to install and remove—perfect for venues with tight turnover times or limited space.

Q: How do ropes attach to this barrier post?

A: There are two loops on each barrier post onto which the ropes attach using their clip at each end.

Q: How many posts (and ropes) will I need a cover a 5 metre run?

A: The ropes are 1.5m in length and so you can assume that each post and rope will cover approx 1m (with the dip in the middle as you don’t want the ropes to be horizontal!) With this in mind, you will therefore need 6 barrierposts and 5 ropes.

Q: Are the ropes included in the price of the post?

A: No, you hire the ropes separately, and they are available in a variety of different colours.
