The BBC News website today is reporting huge demand for UK holidays as many people are avoiding foreign travel and choosing instead to stay ‘at home’ in the UK for a staycation. Let’s face it, the UK is a great place for holidaying….assuming the weather stays fine of course!
The hospitality industry has of course taken a huge hit as a result of the COVID pandemic and it’s good to see cafés and restaurants opening up again, of course with social distancing in place. Whilst this inevitably means reduced customer numbers and revenues, at least they are back trading and benefiting from at least the remainder of the summer months.
