It’s been since 70 years since the last Coronation, and so last weekend’s coronation of His Majesty The King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort was a moment in history, and one which the team at Event Hire UK was delighted to have been part of.
Saturday 6th May 2023 saw the Coronation service take place at Westminster Abbey, which reflected the Monarch’s role today and looked towards the future, whilst being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry. Event Hire UK provided production furniture for the BBC compound on site for the Coronation celebrations, ensuring that all the broadcast facilities were kitted out to a professional standard, helping towards the success of an historic TV event watched by millions around the globe.
And then on Sunday 7th May 2023, we had the pleasure of providing the artists’ backstage dressing room furniture and dining facilities for the Coronation concert at Windsor Castle. Produced, staged and broadcast live by the BBC and BBC Studios, the concert featured Lionel Richie, Take That, Katy Perry and others, bringing everyone together in celebration of the historic occasion.
