Did you know today is ‘Blue Monday’?

Check out today's blog and find out why today is known as Blue Monday in the UK.

The phrases ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Cyber Monday’ have recently become part of everyday language and our pre-Christmas shopping patterns.  However, did you know that today is known as ‘Blue Monday’?

Today is dubbed Blue Monday as researchers have found that today is the most depressing day of the year.  This is based on a large, cross-section of people having been canvassed, with a lot of contributing factors such as dark mornings, cold weather, large post-Christmas credit card bills, the distance from pay-day and the bigger distance from Summer, all being quoted.

Looking beyond Blue Monday

Yes, January can bring with it some post-Christmas blues, so the best way to get over this is to start planning your forthcoming events.  Despite the weather, there are still plenty of events going on in these first few months of the year, including corporate hospitality events, conferences, trade shows and other similar events.  These all require chair hiretable hiremobile bar hire and other similar pieces of furniture hire.

And then maybe take a look forward to the Spring and Summer and the (expected!) warmer weather, which will bring with it weddings, outdoor fêtes and parties!  This will put you in a better frame of mind!
