Today sees the start of the 144th Open Golf Championships at the historic Old Course At St Andrews in Scotland.
It promises to be a stern test for the world’s greatest golfers who will all be competing for the famous Claret Jug. Big names such as Tiger Woods will be aiming to reverse his recent dismal run of form, whilst this will be the last major championships for Tom Watson, a legend of the game. World #1 Rory McIlroy, however, will not be participating having injured his ankle a couple of weeks ago playing a friendly game of football.
The Event Hire team have been busy this week supplying catering equipment, crockery, china, cutlery and glassware for some of the corporate hospitality events taking place around this event. They’ve certainly put the miles again, but it promises to be a fantastic occasion, especially if the weather stays fine. Here’s hoping….
