Royal Albert Hall London

The Royal Albert Hall is one of London's and the UK's most treasured and iconic buildings, having been opened back in 1871 by Queen Victoria.

It is best known for having held the world famous "Proms" each summer since 1941.  Depending upon the configuration of seating for events, the Royal Albert Hall has a seating capacity of around 5,000.  Holding around 350 events each year, it is an incredibly popular venue for a diverse range of events such as indoor sports events, TV spectaculars, ballet and theatre performances, concerts, award ceremonies and school and community events.

TV's Royal Variety Performance is held at the Royal Albert Hall and recently featured One Direction, with other regular artists including Eric Clapton and Shirley Bassey.
